Ingredients

  • 2 ozRye whiskey, 100-proof if you have it
  • 1 ozSweet vermouth, Carpano Antica or Cocchi di Torino
  • 2 d.Angostura aromatic bitters
  • 1 d.Orange bitters
  • Brandied cherry, to garnish

Method

  1. Add rye, sweet vermouth, and both bitters to a mixing glass with cracked ice.

  2. Stir 30 seconds, until well-chilled and properly diluted.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe.

  4. Drop a brandied cherry into the glass.
