Highball — 12% ABVIngredients
- 2 ozVodka
- 4 ozTomato juice, good-quality, well chilled
- ½ ozLemon juice, fresh
- 2 d.Worcestershire sauce
- 2 d.Tabasco, or to taste
- —Pinch of celery salt, black pepper, and grated horseradish
- —Celery stalk, lemon wedge, and olive, to garnish
Method
Combine vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, Tabasco, and seasonings in a shaker over a few cubes of ice.
Roll the drink — pour back and forth between two halves of the shaker — to integrate without aerating. Shaking turns tomato juice frothy and ruins the texture.
Pour, ice and all, into a highball glass.
Garnish with a celery stalk, a lemon wedge, and an olive on a pick. Cracked black pepper across the top.
